Denise Mullen, Mid Ulster SDLP Councillor called into the Centre on Monday 28th September 2015.

The Councillor witnessed for herself the amount of educational programmes offered and the volume of women attending classes here. We had 5 different classes with 79 women in attendance!

Tesco Dungannon Childcare Donation

A massive THANK YOU to Tesco Dungannon for their very kind donation of childcare essentials for our Creche!!  

As we have over 40 children availing of our facility each week, these essentials will be very much needed.

As the Tesco slogan states - "Every little helps!"

Aware Defeat Depression Support Groups

Aware Defeat Depression have information about Depression, Post Natal Depression, Bipolar, Depression for carers and Depression in Older People.

The Dungannon Support Group runs fortnightly on a Tuesday evening at 7.00pm in the Gardeners Hall, Victoria Way, Milltown.

The Staff have been busy over the summer redecorating and revamping the tea-break/relaxation area!

It is amazing what a lick of paint and a splash or colour can do - see for yourself!

New Council CEO Visit

Mr Anthony Tohill, CEO of the new Mid Ulster Council dropped into First Steps Women’s Centre (FSWC) 19th June 2014.  Mr Tohill met the staff and heard about the excellent work that the Centre does from the Centre’s 3 Co-ordinators, namely IT (Yvonne Corbett), Life Skills (Joan McCool) and Health Promotion (Clare Henry). He also visited the Childcare Centre.
