This course is suitable for complete beginners.

The course will teach learners how to write code using Python.

Python is a very popular, general-purpose programming language. It is used in web and software development, gaming, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and data science.

Learners will be able to write and run their own simple programs from Week 1, with an emphasis on real-word examples and best coding practices.

Topics include:

  • Printing to the screen
  • Variables
  • Handling user input
  • Decision control
  • Lists and for loops
  • Functions

In addition to being a useful, in-demand skill in the digital age, learning to code can also boost problem-solving and logic skills. It can also be a lot of fun!
