At First Steps Women’s Centre (FSWC), we believe that when women are empowered, entire communities thrive. Childcare Sponsorship
FSWC provides a culturally inclusive onsite crèche that allows mothers to pursue education while their

We employ bilingual staff to meet the needs of families from 6-8 different nationalities, fostering early socialisation and learning.
Funding for these vital childcare positions, including a Deputy Leader, directly supports the growth of both mothers and their children, contributing to a stronger community.

Transport Sponsorship
FSWC’s door-to-door minibus service removes one of the most significant barriers to participation access.
Our minibus service helps women with young children, as well as elderly or infirm individuals, reach our Centre with ease.
Your support for transport ensures that no woman is excluded due to lack of access, enabling more women to engage fully with our services.

Support Services Sponsorship
Our counselling service offers a lifeline for women facing trauma – both present and from the past, personal challenges, providing essential emotional support to help them overcome obstacles and find resilience.
FSWC provides 4-6 sessions per week (all free to end users). Corporate sponsorship in this area means providing immediate, impactful support for women navigating life’s toughest moments.
FSWC also provides emergency welfare payments in the form of supermarket vouchers.
An onsite Hygiene Bank has seen demand increased fourfold from September 2023 to September 2024. This provides sanitary products, nappies, shampoo, soaps and deodorant.

Core Costs Sponsorship
Funding for core costs allows us to sustain critical staff positions, including our Project Staff, SMT, and support staff whose work ensures the Centre’s success and sustainability.
Contributions towards facilities costs like heating, lighting, maintenance, and IT infrastructure enable us to operate efficiently, creating a safe and welcoming environment for women every day.
