First Steps Women’s Centre (FSWC) is inviting tenders from qualified web development agencies/individuals for the design, development, deployment, and five-year hosting of a dynamic website for our National Lottery Heritage Funded project, “Heritage Journeys: Voices of Migrant Women in Mid Ulster.”
The project will share over 100 personal stories and 20–25 short videos documenting the experiences, traditions, and cultural heritage of migrant women living in Mid Ulster. The new website will serve as a digital archive, enabling these voices to be published and accessed as they are produced.
We are seeking an agency/individual that:
– Has proven experience in designing culturally sensitive, accessible, and user-friendly websites.
– Can deliver a CMS allowing FSWC staff to upload and manage stories, videos, and multimedia content with ease.
– Demonstrates strong technical expertise in security, performance, and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA).
– Offers reliable hosting and maintenance, including backups, updates, and responsive support.
– Shares our commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Scope of work includes:
– Designing a visually engaging, mobile-responsive website aligned with FSWC branding.
– Developing a secure CMS for publishing 100+ stories and 25+ videos.
– Integrating multimedia features (video streaming, audio, galleries).
– Providing search, filter, and timeline navigation tools.
– Ensuring GDPR compliance, accessibility, and Creative Commons licensing.
– Delivering staff training and user documentation.
